Permitting Procedures

Scientific research in Gabon, including the National Parks, is regulated by CENAREST, and all research conducted at a minimum level of Masters (or equivalent) must comply with both CENAREST and ANPN procedures. For the LMD system, this includes Master 2 Recherche. Please follow the instructions on the Procedures for Researchers page.

Scientific projects that are conducted for undergraduate degrees, or academic levels below Masters, are not considered
as Research, and do not require CENAREST authorisation. For the LMD system, this includes Licence, Masters 1 and Master 2 Professionel. Such projects may only be considered by ANPN as internships, for which the student must apply, following the Procedures for Internships page. Note that availability for internships at ANPN is extremely limited.
